me and mike and jonah and cool breeze went to the bijou for the concrete wave skateboard video premiere. even though mike quit the team long ago, he was still included in the video, and in my opinion, had one of the nastier parts in it. tomorrow i’m going to get up early and do my laundry that’s right. heard some of cool breeze’s new songs and they are all on point and wonderful so we’ll be recording this week? or right after new years? for a cd release that i’m spending my holiday money putting out so thanks assortment of relatives! cd will also include the entire 1st cool breeze tape which was critically acclaimed i don’t need to point out.

hey michael antelope you pisspockets, this layout getting any better?

i put up a new mp3, “a sorry state of affairs”, a nice slow nostalgic song not without its absurdities, off my second (now unavailable) tape. maybe a sad song about impermanence isn’t “what the dr ordered” for this holiday season but oh well. that’s right– “oh well”!

television “marquee moon” on cassette. nick getting me the new missy elliot cd (used) for christmas. frank miller’s “batman: the dark knight strikes again” on loan from mat coe. “search for animal chin” old school skate video that mysteriously appeared on our living room floor. singing lullabyes into some girl’s hard disk recorder in a bowling alley on matt zaccarino’s birthday. matt carroll singing to us alone the very inspiring theme songs to “perfect strangers” and “greatest american hero” in the car at night. a fat stack of the new downhill battle stickers i designed. but most importantly, kelley parsons with clear intent and will like an oak, getting a mohican haircut.

oh yeah

please send more questions to flesh out the faq (rather lackluster at the moment). questions you’ve asked that you think others would benefit from, questions you’ve wanted asked, trivia stumpers, riddles, etc..

i just took a bunch of sleep drugs, which is to say, drank a banana smoothie with lots of honey and vanilla, so forgive me if this isn’t entirely cohesive. tonight’s show at the wag was fun but weird. i started off by singing through the mic, then realized that everyone who was there to see me could quite comfortably and agreeably crowd close around, so i cast the mic aside and shout-styled it. there was supposed to be a number of other acts in an open-stage fashion, and i was to be, as previously stated, the bridge between the open stage and the straight-up bands. BUT– everyone who was supposed to play early left the premises, presumably so they wouldn’t have to play early. so i played first and i’m not complaining (because i don’t mind going first) i’m just saying- that’s bad ettiquette. the show coincided with the wayward boys reunion so present were the curtin brothers, the scientist, dan wars, sourpus mark, silent jon, and aimee CV, plus kickball katy and my usual gang of idiots, meaning i brought a decent sized audience and did not have to play alone in a crowd, as i had feared. i shouted a lot and couldn’t reach the high notes but what else is new. some people knew the words and that made me really happy. i laughed when i messed the chords up and everyone laughed with me and that made me happy too. garrison played a solid, though short, set. they said it was their last show and it sounds like they meant it.

mat coe and mike leslie are in my room brushing their teeth. they’ve been brushing for fifteen minutes, out of spite for each other (roomates and fiercely competetive). mat: “i’d rather brush my teeth until there are none left than live with shame”. mike: “you forget i’m catholic and i’m operating on christmas power!”. this is all nothing new.

i’m having a lot of trouble uploading the mp3 of the [time period] because i’m on a stupid dial-up using matt f’s parent’s aol account. this morning (christmas morning) me and mike leslie rode bikes to beautiful jenny’s house where she made us delicious pancakes and we watched pinnochio. mike suggested we watch “heartbeeps” but that’s what i watched last christmas. after another dinner with my mom (and mat coe?) tonight (christmas night) i returned to the house and did the traditional christmas activities of shooting bb guns inside and laying mattresses along the stairs and sledding down them.

tomorrow (friday) at 9 or so i’m playing a show at the wag with garrison and guerrero. there will also be an open stage sort of event, and it’s my understanding that i’m to be the bridge between the open stage portion of the night and the show proper. it’s garrison’s triumphant return to harlow street (see “harlow”, almost at the bottom of the page).

ok, so i changed things around again. my reasoning is weird, i guess. but basically the old design (and not so old either) was a burden. too much stuff to update, and plus, i know that it looked like garbage on a few browsers so fuck it. it’s christmas eve.

cool breeze got into town late last night only to leave for texas tomorrow morning and return to worcester on the 28th only to return to portland oregon on the 6th. we will be recording new material. he will be at the new year’s party

hmmm…. i’m still configuring here… i posted something, changed the time zone setting and the post disappeared. maybe because the computer reasoned that it hasn’t happened yet? huh. anyway, it’s another page redesign, this a more bare bones desing, we’ll see how long it lasts. inspirations? update easiability, the realization that web design isn’t really graphic design, the new year, compatability, eye strain… lots of stuff.
