last night i went to see samia’s band “drunken boat”, plus the terribles and bread and roses, at re:generation records in alllston. the show was really fun, they have a really great cramped basement show space and the store is great too, though sparse. mike and i talked about how we wanted to fill the place with our style hilarious garbage and what’s more mike talked to sue blanks about it and she was very pro. so when mike gets back from tour in two weeks we’re beta-testing “happy birthday mike leslie” there- many paintings and doo-dads. in the interim i’m making a special series of stuffed animals to sell there, with little comic books to blow minds open. pajama ghost!
my build-your-own-dulcimer-from-a-nice-kit-that-has-all-the-parts-but-you-lost-the-instructions-book instruction book came in the mail today, so that’s another nice winter activity for me, in addition to sewing animals and pieceing a quilt together and late night silk screening listening to old radio broadcasts and trying to make an electronic 555 thumb piano (based on an idea by chris forgues).
fujichia: keep it up, see what happens.
pictured: last night’s “dump duck” (which is what matt hallas calls inland seagulls).
