WHITE VINEGAR #1 p1 “FLASHBACK TOWNSHIP”
so, this is a new comic i’ve been working on, i’m going to be posting successive pages every other day or so tuesday, in addition to releasing it as a paper comic book when finished (in keeping with the fujichia “new trend”). bearing in mind that i can’t change the shape of the page (it’ll always be a rectangle of approximately these dimensions), are there any readability issues i can fix? you should be able to get a larger standalone version of the image by clicking on it. also, how does this work within the larger fujichia page? should i post the page behind a break (like how this paragraph is behind a break)? or even just have a text link to a larger version (like this: link) and not show a smaller version at all? if this is a continuing trend, maybe i’ll start up a new “only comics” website.
The new comic and that two page drawing are the best thing I’ve seen you do, I think. Please do it, do it. I’m jealous. My new zine is not as good as that stuff.

james amoeba made a drawing of you on july 4th night, without meaning to: man crouching down in a dark low cave, long torso, buttoned-up shirt pulling up out of his pants, holding a lit candle in his teeth, with a headgear item shaped like a bat somehow affixed over his hair.
“hey, that’s jake berendes” I said
“it is?” said james.
“it’s gotta be: the batwing thing, pointy teeth, expression of desperation…”
“oh yeah, you’re right” said james “… but where are his glasses?”
I didn’t know, but james answered it himself & said “they fell off in the dark, that’s why he needs the candle….”

mt, thanks! i’m 16 pages in towards what looks to be a 20 pager, and still rippin’. i scanned in all the pages so far, and set them to drop one a week. actual book ETA is a believable two weeks. i’m trying to come up with a better name than “hoary tales”, because i have a good picture for the cover but it has a boar on it and that’s too close for my comfort. so, anyone?- title ideas for a misc horror comic?
