New Guy Alert
I'm thinking it's a woodland creature and it roots through the underbrush finding bugs and fungus with its sensitive mouthparts. You can find them in small packs around the bases of trees, or deep in couch cushions, looking for tasty morsels with just their fatty tails poking out. The stripes are aposematic (reverse camouflage), like a poison frog or a skunk, and indicate to any potential predator that they're loaded with toxins and therefore inedible. Their lack of natural predators lends them a bumbling curiosity.
I made these for a crafts fair I'm doing this weekend but then they came out so good and so fun that I thought I'd offer them here for sale to the true fans first, before I drop them on the populace. They take muuuuuch longer to make than anything else I've made in the stuffed animal format, which, I'm not complaining, but that accounts for their scarcity and price. I have 12 of them for sale, just 12! And they are $50. I've been resisting this price point for a long time, what can I say but "that's how it is". Accounting for inflation that's like paying $38 in 2012, which is suddenly reasonable. Each one varies slightly, as these things do, mostly in the eyes.
Shipping is post paid in the USA, and of course local pickup is available for those near to Providence RI, and preferred if possible.
Oh yeah and the sales event this weekend is the Anti-Robot Club marketplace, Saturday the 18th from 4 to 8 at 10 Sims Ave in Providence, come on down! I've never done this sale before so I'm excited to see what it's like and who's there. At the very least I will be there, and there's a good coffee place and an ice cream place right there in the complex. I'm probably going to get one coffee and one cone, at different times.
Oh yeah and I'm going to stop online sales on Saturday morning and bring all my stuff down to the event, so if you want one of these guys click that button now!
