Small Forager

You can find these woodland creatures in small packs around the bases of trees, or deep in couch cushions, searching for small bugs and fungus with their sensitive mouthparts, with just their fatty tails poking out of the leaf litter. The stripes are aposematic (reverse camouflage), like a poison frog or a skunk, and indicate to any predator that they are loaded with toxins and therefore inedible. Their lack of natural predators lends them a bumbling curiosity.

Each is handmade by moi, in pink and green. There is some variation with each one, mostly in the eyes.
